Frequently Asked Questions
Do you travel to me? Or do we come to a salon?
I am a mobile spray tanner and makeup artist in the Temecula Valley and surrounding areas. You stay relaxed, while I come to you!
Do I get a trial run of my wedding makeup?
Yes! We do a preview to make sure you are completely happy and comfortable with the makeup look.
I’m afraid of getting clown-status makeup. Do you do natural looking beauty?
This is a super common worry; it’s totally understandable, but I have you covered. My passion is enhancing natural beauty, so you only look like the most radiant version of yourself!
Why an experienced wedding makeup artist vs. someone who does great makeup?
Knows Wedding Timeline: As a bridal makeup artist, I’m familiar with the wedding timeline. I know how to prepare for the photographer's arrival, flowers and other important details. I tell my brides how the first part of the day will go, so they feel at ease and on track.
Work Fast & Calmly: A wedding makeup artist needs to be very time conscious and work at ease under the pressure of a tight time schedule and any high stress around them.
Accepts Feedback: Also, because it is a special day that can feel chaotic, the makeup artist needs to make sure everyone feels comfortable and be totally open to feedback. After all, it is photos that will be looked at for years to come!
Ensures Bride Can Relax: Bride, speaking to you right here!, you should not have to do anything but relax on the wedding day. That is where I come in. I make sure you are at ease during the makeup session and emerge confident and cucumber cool.
The Makeup Must Last: Most importantly: It’s not only about looks - it’s about endurance. The makeup needs to last through the ceremony (any tears…!), all the photos and into the meal and dancing. Professional training and highest quality products make sure the look isn’t just pretty for an hour; it’s breathtaking all day.
Creates Cohesive Look: Plus, a wedding makeup artist makes sure the whole wedding party has a cohesive look and rock photos that much harder.
What’s the difference between normal foundation and airbrush?
Airbrush makeup is sprayed onto the skin vs. normal foundation, which is applied with brushes or sponges. Both are great options. The benefits of airbrush are that it tends to look more natural and is very lightweight.
How is airbrush unique?
Airbrush makeup is released as tiny droplets that mimic pixels in a photograph or film. It is what creates that “flawless” look celebrities have. I use silicone based product which is waterproof, so it will last through tears, sweat, and even high humidity. And, yes, even all the emotions & dancing that takes place.
How far in advance do I need to book you?
It is best to book at least a couple months in advance to ensure availability. However, if your date is sooner, reach out. I will always work to accommodate if available.
When do you recommend having the preview makeup? What if I live out of town?
I recommend having preview makeup (the trial for your day of wedding makeup) on a day when you have time to see how it lasts. Go outside. Take photos of yourself with the makeup on to see how you like it. Heck, go dance to a few songs and see how it wears. That way, I know what to adjust for the day of!
Out of town? No problem. We’ll do the preview in the days or week before your wedding. For example, do it the day of your rehearsal dinner or bachelorette party.
Are false eyelashes included in your packages?
Yes!
Can we use any of own favorite makeup products?
Yes, of course. If you’d prefer I use your makeup, like if worried about allergies or sensitive skin, I’m happy to do so.
**To confirm: The price is the same whether we use my own products and all/or a combination of your own personal makeup.
What happens after I contact you?
Once I learn more about your needs, such as the location and amount of people needing makeup or spray tanning, I provide a quote. Once you say yes, we take care of the fun paperwork and start planning!
How long does the day-of service take?
I allow at least 75 minutes (1 hour and 15 minutes) for the bride, no exception. This provides extra cushion for getting and feeling ready.
It’s ideal to have 1 hour for each other person, such as a bridesmaid or mother of the bride. However, I can do the other bridal party or family members in 45 minutes - no problem!
What type of products and brands do you use?
I use Temptu airbrush makeup and equipment. For regular makeup, I use FACE Atelier Foundation, Makeup Forever HD Foundation and Ben Nye powders. Some of the other products I use include Urban Decay, MAC, Buxom, and Anastasia Beverly Hills. I use Sigma makeup brushes and Coola skin care for moisturizer, primer and setting spray.
They all have SPF in them - so you know your skin is safe from the sun day-of!
How does the makeup hold up throughout the day? Even with dancing or sweating?
I use as many waterproof products as possible. Plus, airbrush foundation is waterproof. I also use a setting spray when the makeup application is complete to seal everything in, so you shall be picture perfect all day!
Is it just you? What if I have several bridesmaids - how does that work?
There are two options! If it is only me, I can handle up to 6 people, including the beautiful bride. If there are more than 6 people, I bring an assistant for an added fee; this makes sure everyone is taken care of on the proper timeline.
Schedule-wise: I create a timeline prior to the wedding day for the bride to review; this assures that everything will run smoothly and in a timely fashion. I create a timeline that ensures everyone is looking done and amazing with time to spare!
How far do you travel? What is the travel fee?
As a Southern California makeup artist, I typically do wedding makeup in the Temecula Valley and surrounding areas, such as San Diego County, Orange County and Palm Springs. I am also available for travel to other states and internationally. Travel fees vary based on distance and number of days required. The fee will be included in your personal price quote! How do makeup lessons work?
1. You book a solo lesson or host it as a party! The more the merrier.
2. We decide on the topic. Here are some suggestions:
Honeymoon or vacation makeup: Learn how to apply waterproof makeup that stays in high humidity or beach days!
The 5 Minute Face: You are busier than the Queen Bee herself. You don’t have 30 min to apply liner each day! By the end of our session, you’ll know and have practiced exactly how to create a great face in mere minutes.
Create your dream eyebrows: Eyebrows can feel tricky. In this lesson, we try and test different techniques that create your dream eyebrow. By the end, you’ll know exactly what to do to create the look yourself!
*Remember, these are only a few options. You tell me what you’re looking to do or improve upon, and I create the class to make it happen. Whether it is is contouring, smokey eyes, high-end “party event” makeup or something else, I have your back. Well, and face.
3. I come to you. Whether it’s your home, hotel or other accommodations, I travel to you and/or your group!

How long does a spray tan last?
One week if cared for well. Don’t worry, I’ll give you all the info for how to properly prep and maintain your spray tan to ensure maximum longevity!
Will tan get streaky or orange-y?
No! Spray tan solution has come a long way over the years. Thank. Heavens. I use a solution called Sjolie, it is 100% vegan, naturally derived and made fresh. Rest assured, this product is also paraben free, erythrulose free and fragrance free so it is safe enough for anyone, even pregnant women! It has a very minimal smell and leaves the skin feeling very soft.
How long does the tanning process take?
It’s about a 30 minute process from set up to break down. The actual tan itself takes about 15 minutes.
How does it work?
I bring my goodies and equipment to create a unique, one-person tent. I use this, along with my spray tan machine to deliver a custom tan. You tell me the level of color you want, and I make it happen. The tent can be set up inside. Because of the design, it will not get product or tan spray on anything around it.
Will it rub off on my clothes?
This is easy to address. If you wear light-colored clothing the day of the spray tan, the bronzer may rub off a tiny bit - but it washes right out. I do have an option to set your spray tan with a finishing powder at the end of your service. This eliminates any stickiness, allowing you go about your day as usual without having to worry about streaking. I do recommended wearing dark, loose clothing the day of whether you decide to use the finishing powder or not.
